We all have our secret vices and Mallomars are one of mine. I may be a 45 year vegetarian Mallomars are Mallomars.
Mallomars are wonderful, delicious, almost too good to be true. Think of them as s’s without the campfire. The problem is twofold: they aren’t sold here in Seattle and they aren’t sold year round. They’s only available September through March on the East Coast. Looking for Mallomars near you?
Believe it or not, Mallomars have their own Facebook page.
When I visit my Mom in Cleveland during the winter months I now where to buy Mallomars. And I do. On one trip when I purchased 4 boxes, and nothing else, the cashier looked up at me and asked These a gift for someone Yep, Christmas presents for my 3 sons and 1 box extra for me. (They’re always a huge hit!)
Mallomar trivia: first made in 1913, the same year as the Moon Pie, in New Jersey. An amazing 70% are sold in metropolitan New York. Which kinda sucks for me here in Seattle.
Made in Toronto, they aren’t sold in Canada (go figure). Rumor has it they’re sold as Dream Puffs in Canada though I’ve never seen them when I’m in Vancouver.
